Welcome to our Called to Love: Egypt M site.
We have created this website and blog for a few purposes. We want to encourage the online community that God's work is not over as long as there are obedient and willing hearts. Second of all, we want this community to support and lift us up in prayer, as we present requests, ask for supplication or have thanksgiving. We will be posting about our thoughts, experiences and spiritual growth because it is the passion of our team to be held accountable to the body of Christ, to God and to ourselves; and we recognize that God calls us to be this way.
Please leave your thoughts and responses in the Comments section of each of our blogs.
New Update : PHOTO JOURNAL

During my stay here, one thing that I've noticed since we left the airport, was that the people here are unbelievably friendly and helpful. Yesterday, on our way to attend the worship service at the Egyptian Church, we were (kinda) lost as our team was looking for the metro (aka subway/train)...I then went into a small shop to ask the male owner where the metro was and then both him and his young daughter almost raised their voices with excitement saying, "Metro?!" as if they were fighting to give us directions. The father walked out of the store and motioned us to follow him. He had left his shop and daughter to show us the way to the metro. We thought it was nice just walk us to the end of the street and then motion to us where to go next. Nope...he walked us all the way to the metro! Our Contact Person says that they always do that. People would even get out of their car to direct traffic! The father and daughter were a perfect example of a loving neighbour, which is actually the topic that I'm teaching to the Sudanese refugee children on Wednesday and on Thursday. They didn't take advantage of us being tourists. They just showed us their love. After we leave here on Sunday, it seems like God has already provided them with a good example of what it means to love a neighbour.
The children are our neighbours and just after one day of being with them, I have already felt the love for them, even though one of them pooped in his pants and it was all over his hands and he showed it to us (it actually looked like smooth peanut butter)... It's just a different culture, they were brought up differently... But God loves us all no matter what we've done... And it's just so comforting to know that...
