Welcome to our Called to Love: Egypt M site.
We have created this website and blog for a few purposes. We want to encourage the online community that God's work is not over as long as there are obedient and willing hearts. Second of all, we want this community to support and lift us up in prayer, as we present requests, ask for supplication or have thanksgiving. We will be posting about our thoughts, experiences and spiritual growth because it is the passion of our team to be held accountable to the body of Christ, to God and to ourselves; and we recognize that God calls us to be this way.
Please leave your thoughts and responses in the Comments section of each of our blogs.

The trip to Mount Sinai featured:
- A 7 hour ride to reach the Sinai area
- Passing by the Red Sea and the Nile River
- Typical Egyptian food (grilled chicken)
- 150 minute climb up Mt Sinai
- 3 hour sleep on the rocky floor at the peak
- Temperatures at about 5C
- Seeing the sun rise from the peak
- Visiting the alleged burning bush that God used to speak to Moses
Thoughts in passing:
- We were easily bored of the desert scenery in our 7 hour ride. Imagine the Israelites' mentality during the 40 years that they wandered in the desert
- Cold, cold sleep
- The climb was not necessarily difficult but it helped me appreciate what Moses experienced when God spoke to him on Mt Sinai
- The sun rise was a hundred-fold more beautiful, after experiencing 'hardship' to see it
- The sun rising faithfully everyday is a testament to God's faithfulness to all of us each day. And just like the sun gives light to all, God's intention is to show love for all people
- Coming back down in the heat, I can imagine how frustrated Moses must've been when he realised the Israelites had been impatient and given their worship to the golden calf
- Imagine the wonder and the awe in having God personally speak to you from a burning bush
Christ and His glory is in each circumstance, good and bad. How much trust, obedience and discipline is God worth to you?
