Welcome to our Called to Love: Egypt M site.
We have created this website and blog for a few purposes. We want to encourage the online community that God's work is not over as long as there are obedient and willing hearts. Second of all, we want this community to support and lift us up in prayer, as we present requests, ask for supplication or have thanksgiving. We will be posting about our thoughts, experiences and spiritual growth because it is the passion of our team to be held accountable to the body of Christ, to God and to ourselves; and we recognize that God calls us to be this way.
Please leave your thoughts and responses in the Comments section of each of our blogs.

I spent my birthday with a group of special people this year.
First, they celebrated with me in Singapore airport, and surprised me with the Stera Chan and the Denzel Washington masks, and two packs of Milk Tea powder. I slept unconsciously on the plane ... have been exhausted after the GK camp. And after the 10 hours' flight, we arrived safely in Cairo.
This is my third time in Cairo. But I only stayed here for 1 or 2 days before, and now I am going to stay here for nearly two weeks! The guesthouse we are staying is really nice. I really feel at home.
Our first program in Egypt was language learning - Arabic. I always wanted to learn Arabic, and now I have the chance. However, it is not easy at all. I am not good at learning new language. And I was really tired when the teacher taught us ... I had to lie down half way through the lesson.
We had the prayer walk in Dar Salam, a M' area this afternoon. Like in other middle east countries, people are curious about us as foreigners, but in general they are friendly. While I was walking on the street, I just thought - Joseph, the Israelites, Moses and Jesus were in this land thousands of years ago, and now I am here! And I believe that it is not coincidence - we are not here by accident, and it is God's will for us to be here in Egypt at this moment of time. And when I looked at these people, I prayed that they would know that Jesus is the Lord and Christ.
We are going to camp on top of Mt Sinai tomorrow - for both the sunset and sunrise! I am excited about it as it would be my first time seeing the sunrise (I was there for the sunset the last two times). And I am a bit nervous as there will be a lot of people there (we are going there with a group of people), and we are not sleeping in tents. So, I wonder what we would be doing all night long .. Well, of course, sleeping. But what else? And it's really my first time sleeping on the mountain ... But I do look forward to it. :)
It is now Thurs at 1:45am in Egypt, that is, 6:45am in Hong Kong. And I think I should go to bed now.
