In Fall, I will be entering my last year of university in Montreal. I study Psychology and Education - I find interest in these subjects because I have a passion to share God's love by helping and working with different people. I am particularly fond of working with children. I have been experiencing growing assurance that God wants to touch others through me and currently, I am at a stage where I am waiting to see whether God call me to work in Church Ministry or to serve elsewhere, perhaps as a teacher.
One thing I know though, is God has convicted me, the importance in evangelism. Evangelism can be done through actions alone, or showing a stranger that you love them, or sharing your testimony.. although evangelism to me is all those things, I understand that the most important part of it all is to have an obedient, willing and humble heart. I don't want to serve with a prideful heart because that is service to myself. God showed me His grace and love and has blessed me with gifts and talents and the circumstance in life I am at now. It is my desire, my longing and my yearning that I can lose myself to God's amazing love and will.
God has already shown me glimpses of His wonderful plan in this mission trip alone by giving our team the opportunity to work with a Sudanese refugee kindergarten. I hope that in keeping God as the focus throughout this mission, God will reveal more of His calling for me.
*Clarity and patience to discern whether or not missionary or church ministry is God's calling for me
* Spiritual strength from the Holy Spirit to resist temptation and overcome spiritual lows
*Keeping humbleness in serving
* Healing of flu sickness
